Front entry screen enclosures

A screened front entry gives you a bug-free spot at the door and a finished look from the street. We build custom entries with fitted screen doors and framing that suits the house.

What a screened entry changes day to day

A screened entry keeps bugs out of the doorway, so opening the front door does not let them into the house. It also gives you a shaded place to sit, take deliveries, or let the breeze through with the front door open.

From the street, a well-built entry adds a clean, finished look to the front of the home.

Arched and straight designs

Entries can be framed straight across or with an arch to follow the shape of the opening. An arched entry suits homes with curved details at the front, while a straight design keeps lines simple.

Framing comes in Bronze or White, coordinated with the house so the entry looks like part of it.

Screen doors fitted right

The door is the part of an entry you use every day, so it has to be fitted properly. We size the screen door to the opening and hang it so it swings, latches, and closes without dragging.

Already have an entry with a door that scrapes or will not close? We repair and adjust existing screen doors too, as part of our screen repair work.

Pairing an entry with a garage screen

A front entry and a garage screen system can be built together so the front of the house matches. On one Punta Gorda home, we installed a full garage screen system alongside a custom arched front entry. See the before and after photos.

Garage screens are part of our custom aluminum work.

How a project runs

Most projects need a site visit and a custom estimate. Here's the path from the first call to a finished enclosure.

What entry customers say

Rated 4.9 out of 5 on Google.

So happy we chose Backwater Aluminum. Austin and his team installed our front door enclosure and re-screened our lanai. They are professional, courteous and very friendly. Austin explained everything about the products he was using and the install. We couldn't be happier with the finished product.

Common questions

Will a screened entry match my house?
That is the goal. The framing is coordinated with the house, in Bronze or White, and the design can be arched or straight to follow the shape of the opening. We go over the look with you at the site visit.
Can you fix or adjust my existing entry door?
Yes. We repair and adjust existing screen doors, including doors that drag, scrape, or do not latch. Call us and describe what it is doing.
Do I need HOA approval for a front entry enclosure?
Many communities ask for architectural approval before changes to the front of a home, so check with your HOA. We go over the HOA and permit steps for your job at the estimate.
What does a front entry enclosure cost?
The size of the entry, an arched or straight design, the door, and your screen choice shape the price. We price every job after a free site visit.
How long does a front entry enclosure take?
Your estimate covers the schedule for your job. The size and design of the entry play into it.
