Where we work in Southwest Florida

Backwater Aluminum works in five core communities around Charlotte Harbor: Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, North Port, Englewood, and Rotonda West. We are a family-owned team, and Southwest Florida is the only place we work.

We come to you

Every project starts at your home. We come out, measure, look at the site, and talk through options with you in person.

Site visits and estimates are free. Call (941) 380-9098 or send the form, and we typically respond within one business day.

Permits by jurisdiction

New enclosures and structural work are engineered for your home and site, and they need a building permit. Which office issues it depends on where your home sits.

  • Port Charlotte is unincorporated Charlotte County, permitted by Charlotte County Community Development.
  • Punta Gorda homes inside city limits are permitted by the City of Punta Gorda Building Division.
  • North Port homes inside city limits are permitted by the City of North Port Building Division.
  • Englewood is split between Sarasota County and Charlotte County, so the permit office depends on your address.
  • Rotonda West is unincorporated Charlotte County, permitted by Charlotte County Community Development.

Outside these areas? Call us

If your home is elsewhere in Southwest Florida, call (941) 380-9098 and ask. We will tell you straight whether we can take on your project.
