ClearView and panoramic pool enclosures

A ClearView enclosure keeps your view open. We design panoramic cages with fewer visual obstructions, as far as the engineering for your home and site allows.

What makes an enclosure ClearView

A ClearView or panoramic enclosure is designed to open up sightlines. The framing is laid out so fewer members sit between you and the view.

It is still an engineered aluminum enclosure with Phifer screening and 410 stainless steel fasteners. The difference is in the design: the goal is to look out through the cage, not at it.

Where a panoramic enclosure makes sense

Panoramic enclosures make the most sense where there is something to see. Homes on the water, on a lake, or backing up to a preserve get the most out of an open layout.

If your yard faces a fence or the house next door, the extra design work may not add much. We will tell you honestly which way we would go at the site visit.

Where engineering sets the limits

Every enclosure is engineered for the home and the site, and that engineering decides how open a design can be. The size of the cage, its height, and how it attaches to the house all play a part.

That is why we say "where engineering permits." We design the most open layout the engineering supports for your home, and we explain any limits before you commit.

ClearView vs. a standard enclosure

Both are engineered aluminum enclosures built with the same materials. The difference is how the framing is laid out and what you see through it. Our guide on ClearView vs. standard pool enclosures goes deeper.

Converting an existing cage to ClearView

You do not always need a whole new enclosure to get a panoramic view. Existing cages can be converted to ClearView, and older framing can be replaced with an open layout as part of the job.

Whether your cage can be converted depends on its framing, its condition, and what the engineering allows. We look at it in person and tell you what it would take. Conversions are part of our enclosure renovation work.

How a project runs

Most projects need a site visit and a custom estimate. Here's the path from the first call to a finished enclosure.

Common questions

What is the difference between a standard enclosure and a ClearView enclosure?
A ClearView enclosure is designed to open up the view with fewer visual obstructions, where engineering permits. A standard enclosure uses the familiar pool cage layout. Both are engineered aluminum enclosures built with Phifer screening and 410 stainless steel fasteners.
Can my existing cage be upgraded to ClearView?
Existing cages can be converted to ClearView, depending on the framing, its condition, and what the engineering allows. We will look at your cage at a free site visit and tell you what it would take.
Why does ClearView cost more than a standard cage?
An open layout takes more design and engineering, and that shapes the price. The size of the cage, its height, the roof, your screen choice, and permits matter too. We price every job after a free site visit.
Will a panoramic enclosure work on my lot?
It depends on your home, the site, and the engineering. Lots with a view of water, a lake, or a preserve get the most from it. We measure and look at the site in person before we recommend anything.
How long does a ClearView enclosure take?
Your estimate covers the schedule for your job. Engineering and permits are part of every new enclosure, and the size of the build matters too.
